Speke’s Camp is a family run traditional styled safari camp, situated on the boundary of the Maasai Mara Reserve, surrounded by indigenous tree and overlooking the Olare Orok River.

Speke’s camp offers a comfortable and pleasant base for exploring the Mara with wonderful sundowners, picnics and bush breakfasts whilst on game drives in this fabulous wildlife location. The camp’s eight spacious tents are all made of canvas and furnished with driftwood, animal bones, African fabrics and ethnic trinkets. Each tent has a large ensuite bathroom with traditional safari bucket showers, hot water and flush toilets. During your stay you will have a personal room steward dedicated to look after you during your stay.

The communal areas have plenty of books on local wildlife, Kenyan history and local cultures. Mismatched sofas, wooden furniture and Persian rugs add to a very warm rustic feel. A separate tent, strewn with Zanzibari-style beds, armchairs and sofas provides wi-fi access.
