La Sultana Oualidia

Overview

Wild coast cool

On Morocco’s wild western coast, between a protected birdlife reserve, farmland, lagoon and sandy surf beaches, La Sultana Oualidia is a chic, laid-back spot to soak up a different side of Morocco.

La Sultana Oualidia has 12 warmly decorated rooms – including the unique treehouse suite – all with wood-burning fireplaces, marble baths, private terraces and hot tubs. The main kasbah-like building also contains a rather grand spa and wellness centre.

There are two fabulous dining settings – La Plage for alfresco lunches and La Table for dinner – both showcasing the very best of locally caught seafood, ethically sourced ingredients and organically grown produce from the gardens with contemporary French and Moroccan cuisine.

Outside, find ionised infinity swimming pool, a jetty leading to an oyster bay and incredible views across the tidal lagoon, at its best adorned with flamingos at sunset.

Footprint

La Sultana Oualidia recognises the delicacy and importance of its location and aims to minimise its impact. It is 100% self-sufficient in water thanks to a natural cycle, with an organic garden and greenhouse growing many fruits, vegetables and herbs for the restaurant. As part as La Sultana’s philosophy of ‘Terroir Cuisine’, they aim to showcase the best ingredients Morocco produce with organic produce from local suppliers along with ethically sourced meat & fish. Additionally they share the taste of heritage Moroccan products like the saffron from Taliouine, salt from Zerradoune, cumin from Alnif and argan from Souss.
