A moment in history
Located in Granada's historic centre, at the foot of the Alhambra, Hotel Casa 1800 Granada captures the exotic spirit of Moorish Spain.
The historically listed building, dating back to the 16th century, was the former headquarters of the troops of the Migueletes, a military corps formed by the rural police of the Carlist period. The building’s original façade has been preserved with Renaissance-style murals, a Castilian doorway, a grand staircase, and Mudéjar inspired design in the courtyard and throughout.
The hotel’s 25 rooms feature original 19th-century balconies from one of the building’s previous refurbs, woodwork, shutters, coffered ceilings, domes and frescoes. All rooms boast handmade hardwood furniture, crisp Cairo cotton sheets, marble bathrooms.
