Big Five Territory
Set within the exceptionally beautiful Welgevonden Game Reserve, Camp Ndlovu offers extraordinary views of the surrounding river ravines and spectacular mountain backdrop. The area is known for Africa's notorious Big Five as well as being malaria-free.
The suites are all luxurious, elegant and spacious - designed for ultimate comfort and privacy and with only five suites you can be assured an exclusive stay. Outside the comfort of the suites, you can relax by the pool on indulge in a treatment at the spa. For the more active there is even a gym. Meals here are an African culinary delight and can be served indoors or out under the stars.
Take the time to head out and discover the diversity of habitats within the reserve. The camp offers game drives or for those looking to get a little closer to the action walking safaris are perfect. Days are usually signed off with a drink on the viewing platform in camp where you can enjoy views of the African bush.

Game Drives
Head out for a game drive in an open game vehicle your knowledgeable game rangers teach you about the fascinating wildlife, interesting topography and history of the reserve. There are numerous rare and unusual species such as brown hyena, aardwolf, pangolin and aardvark – all best seen at night.

Walking Safari
This is a fascinating way to get that bit closer to nature, again you will be accompanied with a game ranger. They will show you all the little things that make this environment so special. Due to low vehicle numbers and less poaching, the animals remain largely unperturbed by human proximity, allowing particularly close and personal encounters.

Ancient Culture
The Waterberg also has a rich human history, evidenced by two San rock paintings dating back to possibly thousands of years.

Welgevonden Game Reserve is a 36,000ha private game reserve in the Waterberg District, of the Limpopo Province of South Africa. The Reserve is nestled within the internationally recognised UNESCO Waterberg Biosphere Reserve flagged for the sustainable conservation of biodiversity. The reserve’s conservation management team is deeply committed to ongoing conservation research and the development of innovative, leading-edge technologies used to solve the many challenges that face large-scale landholdings. Guided by the Welgevonden Scientific Advisory Committee, a progressive membership and board of directors, Welgevonden is one of the world’s leading reserves in conservation management
