Emily Cadzow

Senior Travel Researcher & Business Development Lead

Growing up in the Scottish Highlands gave me a taste for adventure at a young age that certainly defined some of my decisions in my early 20s. From studying French at Newcastle and spending a year in Alsace training as a chef after university and working on boats in Norway and the South of France, travel and exploring has been a major part of my life.

My love and passion for Africa began in 2016 when I moved to Northern Kenya with my boyfriend, we lived on a rose farm at the foot of Mt Kenya. The magic of Africa is under my skin, and I know I will continue to return until I am too old to travel. Since my travel career began, I have been incredibly lucky to spend time in South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia and Uganda. I can’t wait to explore Patagonia with the Gauchos, and track tigers in Nepal on foot. That’s where I’m going next.

I am proud to have been part of Niarra’s journey since the beginning – our mission to leave the world better than we found it is such a powerful message and firmly instilled in my heart. I really believe that we can help save the planet’s people and biodiversity through travel with purpose.

travels

  • Emily in India

    India

I had a truly memorable snow leopard sighting in Ladakh, we sat and observed her for around eight hours, which just flew past.
  • Sealions in The Galapagos

    Galapagos

Galapagos has to be on everyone's bucketlist, particularly if you explore whilst aboard Ecoventura, these yachts are the best and allow you to be first to visit each island - sealions, turtles, blue footed boobies and more.
  • Horse Riding at Cotopaxi 1429

    Ecuador

Photos don't do Cotopaxi Sanctuary Lodge justice, being surrounded by volcanoes and riding horses at over 3,600 metres in the Andean paramo was unforgettable.
  • Elephants in The Mara

    Kenya

Here you can see me on my first trip to Kenya back in 2016, where my love of Africa begin. There is a piece of my heart left in the foothills of Mount Kenya, and I encourage everyone to visit this magical continent.

    Scotland

This was taken on our boat along the coast of Luing, which is our home. Puffin, our working cocker spaniel, never misses a boat ride, along with her sister, a parsons jack russell called Piglet.
  • Jodhpur

    Jodhpur

Exploring Rajasthan in April 2024 was truly fabulous, the blue city otherwise known as Jodhpur is a must see. The ancient city is fascinating and bursting with colour.
