Known in the local Lozi language as Mosi-oa-Tunya, meaning ‘The Smoke That Thunders’, or in Tonga as Shungu Namutitima, ‘Boiling Water’, the 108m tall and 1,700m wide roaring wall is a wonder of the natural world. As well as witness the epic falls themselves up close, there are many exciting activities in the area such as white water rafting, scenic flights and sunset river cruises on the lookout for elephants and hippos.

Zambezi Helicopter Flight

Treat yourself to an unbelievable once-in-a-lifetime flight where you will truly appreciate the mighty Victoria Falls and surrounding area.

You will fly out over Victoria Falls providing you with the most incredible viewing and photographic opportunities. Continuing your flight downstream over the Batoka Gorge, experience the natural beauty of this awe-inspiring dramatic feature as you follow the mighty Zambezi as it carves its way between steep cliffs. Heading back from the Batoka Gorges, taking in the last glimpse of the falls, you fly over Long island on the upper Zambezi towards the National Park, home to a wide variety of wildlife species. This is an amazing opportunity to view animals along the banks of the upper Zambezi River. Look out for elephant, hippo, crocodile, buffalo, giraffe, kudu and many more as you head back to the helipad.
