13-day trip

Victoria Falls, Okavango and Cape Town

From 10695 PP

Overview

An African Trilogy

Begin your adventure in Zambia, on the banks of the great Zambezi River before it thunders down Victoria Falls. A real must-see, the area also hosts a great mix of activities from languid cruises to heart-pounding rafting expeditions.

Then head south to Botswana for a six-night safari in the Okavango Delta and Moremi Game Reserve. Wildlife viewing here is some of the very best on earth – huge elephant herds, big cats, plains game, iridescent birdlife and more.

End in Cape Town, chilling out in the city at your leisure and being shown around the Winelands and Peninsula by a private guide.

With intimate camps in beautiful settings throughout, this is a great first time safari or romantic African honeymoon.

Days 1 — 3

Marvel at Victoria Falls

Begin your adventure at a luxury safari camp alongside the meandering Upper Zambezi above the mighty Victoria Falls. Known in the local Lozi language as Mosi-oa-Tunya, meaning ‘The Smoke That Thunders’, and in Tonga as Shungu Namutitima, or ‘Boiling Water’, the 108m tall and 1,700m wide roaring wall is a wonder of the natural world.

Days 3 — 6

Safari in Botswana’s Moremi Reserve

Hop aboard a light aircraft for a flight across the border into Botswana and the Moremi Reserve, a huge protected area that sits to the east of the Okavango Delta. It has a drier landscape than its neighbour, with a patchwork of woodland, savannah and lagoons where you can find a great diversity of wildlife on day and night game drives and exciting walking safaris led by an expert guide.

Days 6 — 9

Discover the Okavango Delta

Another short and scenic light aircraft flight to your next camp, deep in the Okavango Delta. Each year, the Okavango River flows into northern Botswana, spilling out over the Kalahari to create the world’s largest inland delta. This creates a huge, dynamic ecosystem of islands and channels that are a haven for wildlife and the setting for one of the very best safari experiences in all Africa.
