A Family Adventure in Kenya

From 7760 PP

Overview

A family adventure to remember

Kenya is among our favourite destinations for a family safari, with wonderful guides, a great mix of activities tailored to suit all ages and a bounty of wildlife in beautiful locations.

This trip is a real family adventure, combining the freedom of a Laikipia ranch with a classic safari in the Maasai Mara. Look forward to learning how to track animals with a Maasai guide, exciting game drives, meeting local schoolchildren for a game of soccer, an epic helicopter flight over Mount Kenya, horse rides, mountain biking, and seeing the 'Big Five' and much more.

Days 2 — 5

Laikipia adventure

South of Samburu, the rolling hills of Laikipia were once prime ranching land. Today, many properties have been restored to their wild natural state. Borana is one such pioneer that, with neighbouring Lewa, has created a beautiful 376 square kilometre sanctuary that is now the best place in all of Africa to encounter white and black rhinos, which thrive here in numbers seen nowhere else.

Days 5 — 9

Migration on the Mara

Discover one of Africa’s most important conservation and wilderness areas from your very own private safari camp set up at the heart of the action. The Maasai Mara hosts an astounding diversity and density of wildlife year-round, especially lions, leopards, cheetahs and elephants. Between July and October, millions of wildebeest and zebra cross from the Serengeti in Tanzania to create an awe-inspiring natural spectacle known as the Great Migration.
