Victoria Falls

Waterberry Lodge

Overview

Riverside home

Make yourself at home at Waterberry Lodge. Located upriver from Victoria Falls, right on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River this lodge is a unique, friendly and homely stay.

The seven thatched cottages scattered around the garden are all different, colourful and stylish. All decked with comfortable twin or double beds. The main lodge has a large and airy upstairs viewing lounge overlooking the river, inside and outside dining space to enjoy the panoramic views of the river, and magnificent gardens.

Waterberry is famous for good food and friendly, welcoming service. It is perfectly placed to enjoy total peace and quiet, away from the noise and bustle of activities around town, while still being close to the Falls and all the adventures that Livingstone has to offer.

    Zambezi River Cruise

A sunset cruise, drifting down the Zambezi into the setting sun, camera in hand, with sundowners and snacks, is likely to be your first activity during your stay with us. You can also choose to get up early and experience dawn on the river as the mist rises and the birds awake. You will never forget this, we promise.

  • Chitwa village tour

    Village Walk

Join a village guide from the community who will show you how rural Zambians lead their lives in this completely uncommercial setting. You'll see a school and the community farm that are part-funded by the lodge.

  • Victoria falls

    Visit the Falls

Walking the paths around The Falls is an unmatched, awe-inspiring experience. High water in the early part of the year floods with absolutely astonishing force, shaking buildings kilometres away, releasing massive spray and vast double rainbows.

Community & Culture

In 2009 Waterberry founded Tukongote Community Projects to improve the educational opportunities in nearby villages. Starting with one preschool class, it now supports over 400 children in three preschools and one primary school, employing local teachers and support staff and helping them gain recognized teaching qualifications.

You can experience everyday rural Zambian life as well as seeing the Tukongote projects in action if you join a village walk during your stay.
