For that perfect mix of idyllic relaxation and adventure travel, along with unbeatable sights, The River Club is the ultimate destination. This haven offers a truly authentic local experience within the context of Livingstone and the natural heritage of the Zambezi River and Victoria Falls.
All ten spacious and privately located suites overlook the river and pods of hippo into the Zambezi National Park. Each room features an open front view of the river and polished dark wood floors, king-sized beds, an en-suite bathroom including a free-standing bath and a curtained shower. The decks of the rooms are fitted with plunge pools, which offer an exquisite view of the Zambezi.
A fantastic destination for families with children 6 and up, the lodge provides spacious family accommodation and extensive gardens to explore. A host of activities await young and old, on property as well as around the Victoria Falls.

Game drives
Take a short drive in the lodge’s Game Viewer into the nearby park, Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, the smallest in the country but the most visited due to its proximity to Victoria Falls. It is home to a good number of plains game such as buffalo, giraffe and zebra, and other interesting inhabitants range from small to large such as warthog and elephant.

Sunset river cruise
The best way to settle into being on the awesome Zambezi river is to sit back and relax on one of The River Club’s evening sunset cruises. Take binoculars and camera with you because you never know what you might see as the boat drifts quietly along. The helmsman has eagle-eyes on the look-out for anything and everything that may be moving on or in the water or on the riverbank. Sunset cruises come with snacks and house-brand drinks included.

Spot the only white rhino in Zambia on a guided bush walk and take in the stunning surrounding scenery of the African bush.

Simonga Village visit
The River Club has been involved with the local community since 2000, helping improve the lives of the people who live in the area. Join the lodge for a visit to a nearby village to see their initiatives in action, to spend quality time in the environment of these traditional African settlements and to immerse yourself in the local culture of this beautiful land.

The River Club offers guided trips through Livingstone that provide glimpses into the fascinating Jewish heritage of this town and visits to the Livingstone and Jewish Museums are also arranged.
