A Whale Coast classic
Located on Hermanus’ famous cliff path, the charming Marine has an enviable perch overlooking the breathtaking Walker Bay.
From June to November, Hermanus enjoys the best land-based whale watching anywhere in the world, with guests enjoying watching southern right whales gather in their hundreds from the hotel.
All 40 rooms are bright and airy, half looking out on the garden, pool, or town, and half with sea views. The larger suites have private balconies and fireplaces.
The Marine also features a relaxed modern restaurant, an inviting bar and a small spa. A heated pool sits at the heart of the hotel, while a pathway leads down the cliff to a tidal swimming pool for something more bracing.
