Sher Bagh epitomises everything that makes a luxury safari so thrilling. The camp sits in the depths of Ranthambhore’s billion-year-old forest, where majestic tigers have roamed free for centuries. With Sher Bagh’s trackers and the idyl of this remote location, you have the best chance of spotting these magnificent hunters in their natural habitat. This ancient forest is home to wild boar, deer, monkeys, antelope, mongoose and sloth bears - the characters of the Jungle Book emerging before your eyes.
Shaded by the dappled light of indigenous trees, the 12 custom-made tented suites include four-poster beds, a private terrace and en-suite bathrooms. The Family Machhli Suite is a fantastic option for families with two adjacent double-tented suites within a private walled garden.
The farm-to-table dining is exquisite, with ingredients sourced from local producers and the camp’s kitchen garden. In the evening, the dining tent twinkles with candles and the campfire beckons to share stories beneath a starlit sky.
Yoga, wellness remedies and spa treatments are all available for pure relaxation when you're not exploring the forest. Sher Bagh works closely with the development and protection of community and culture via its NGOs, The Ranthambhore Foundation and The SNS Foundation. Initiatives include free primary health care to local communities, improving education in the early years and preserving the living culture of traditional music.
Footprint
The Sujan group is committed to anti-poaching and rewilding projects. The rewilding project focuses on returning farmed land to its original state. So far, 100sq m of wilderness has been restored from what was once farmland.
