Up-close with elephants
Located in the exceptional wildlife haven of Hwange National Park, African Bush Camp's Somalisa Expeditions has been designed to replicate the vintage safari camps of a bygone era. The camp offers an authentic safari experience with the ambience of a mobile camp with modern day contemporary comforts and finishes.
The camps six Meru-style tents built on raised decking to take advantage of the surrounding views of the savannah. There is one luxury family tent without interconnected rooms, ideal for groups with children and teenagers. The camp is beautifully designed while still maintaining an old-world charm and authenticity. Each tent features ensuite bathrooms, fans and a private deck, perfect for relaxing and watching the world go by.
The main areas of the camp include a lounge and dining room overlooking a small elephant pool, often visited by the African giants creating excellent photographic opportunities and thrilling close encounters.
