• Walking safaris

  This is an incredible way to experience the bush surrounding the house up close. Head out with your expert guide and tracker as you learn how to track animals on foot and learn about the landscape and plants of the region.

• Fishing

  The dam near the house offers excellent game fishing all year. Your guide will show you how the locals fish using plants found nearby. Your catch may include tiger fish, bass, bream (tilapia) and catfish.

• Stargazing safaris

  Your views of the astounding African night skies are unrivalled here with very little pollution and no city lights. Stargazing safaris are a memorable addition to your stay at Malilangwe House.

• Community visit

  Gain insight into community life and Shangaan customs as some of the local people welcome you into their villages. They’ll share with you how various development programmes are helping people to thrive. These visits are at an additional cost.

• Rock art site visit

  A visit to a local San Bushmen rock art site is both educational and fascinating. The artworks you’ll see date back tens of thousands of years and it’s a great way to learn about the ancient hunter-gatherers who lived in this region and their way of life.
