Overview
Banks of the Savute River
Right on the banks of the unpredictable Savute Channel lies this beautiful safari lodge. This stunning area is celebrated for its game, and predators in particular due to the reawakened flow of the mysterious Savute River.
Savute Safari Lodge has just 12 suites to ensure a private and relaxing environment. The chalets have been elegantly furnished and blend in with the natural environment. The Lodge offers a shaded viewing deck, an al fresco dining area and swimming pool – ideal for watching the wildlife below – including the resident Elephants – as they make their way to the Channel to drink, bathe and play.
Venture out into the wildlife-rich marshes. if you want to delve deeper into the history of the area then visit the ancient San Rock paintings at Gubatsa Hills. However, at the end of the day you return to the comfort of the camp and sink into one of the numerous comfortable sofas and sip a cocktail from the bar.

Visit the Ancient Caves
Take a walk up to visit the ancient San rock paintings at Gubatsa Hills – a small hilly outcrop which forms a prominent landmark in the otherwise flat landscape.

Game Drives
Many trips will incorporate a visit to the Savute Marsh to give you a chance to see the historic presence of the Savute Channel at the marsh against a backdrop of teeming wildlife. Savute boasts the second-largest summer Zebra migration in Africa; its timing is determined by the rains.
