Sable Valley Lodge

Overview

Ultimate Private Safari

Sable Valley Lodge is situated at the edge of Hwange National Park, on a secluded private concession just off the famous Dete Vlei, home to the Presidential Elephant herd.

Sable Valley Lodge is the most recent addition to the esteemed Amalinda Safari Collection of Zimbabwe, a family owned, and operated business born out of a deep dedication and love for Zimbabwe’s precious wildlife and unequalled landscapes. The lodge offers 11 thatched traditional African rondavels set into the teak forest, with views towards the pool, each room is ensuite with a shower, toilet & handbasin. The main area under thatch features comfortable sofas, directors’ chairs and a sunken firepit, opening up to the Vlei, with panoramic views of the ever-changing flora & fauna of the savannah.

Guests of Sable Valley can experience a truly unique dining experience, beneath the vast African sky, with views across the countryside rich in local fauna and flora and serenaded by the sounds of the wild. There’s nothing like the African wilderness to work up a healthy appetite.

Community & Culture

Amalinda supports The Mother Africa Trust was born out of the belief that, through effective eco-tourism and legitimate community collaborations, a better future can be built for the rural communities in Zimbabwe. The Mother Africa Trust has facilitated the socio-economic development and empowerment of rural communities in Matopos and Hwange District, part funded by the Community and Conservation Levy (CCL) that was recently introduced at Amalinda Lodge which is used entirely to funding of community development projects. These include funding clinics, school supplies and empowering women and those living with disabilities.
