Overview
Glamour and adventure
Combining the romance of rail with timeless service and some spectacular routes across the continent, Rovos Rail is an icon of southern African travel.
Bespoke journeys range from two and three-night itineraries across South Africa stopping off at historic sites on the way (between Cape Town and Pretoria is a classic), to multi-country trips up to Victoria Falls with safaris en route and epic two-week adventures up to Namibia, Tanzania, Angola and the DRC.
Step back in time aboard lovingly restored wood-paneled carriages. Each train has accommodation carriages with glamorous en suite cabins, along with lounge and observation cars with big picture windows to watch the ever-changing African landscape pass by. In the dining car, look forward to elegant evenings with exceptional cuisine and convivial company.
