Timbavati Private Reserve

RockFig Safari Lodge

Overview

An intimate boutique-style bush experience

Set on 12,141 hectares of Mpumalanga wilderness in the heart of Timbavati Private Game Reserve, RockFig Safari Lodge offers an intimate, boutique bush experience.

Privately owned, the lodge consists of only six chalet-style suites, constructed of timber, stone and thatch to merge seamlessly with the natural surroundings. Each room is comfortably furnished, featuring indoor and outdoor showers, a private veranda and bath with a view out over the Timbavati bushveld. A sense of place comes through strongly, with the colour palette inspired by the purple and green hues of local birds and plants. The indoor communal area features an open-plan kitchen and furniture commissioned from local artisans. The spacious outdoor area contains a boma with a firepit, a sheltered lounge area and swimming pool with views of the waterhole.

Adjacent to the famous Kruger National Park, RockFig Safari Lodge is well situated for forays into the African wilds. Game drives let you explore in the comfort of a vehicle, while walking safaris put you right on the ground, trekking at your own pace. Satiate your appetite after a long day, with bush breakfast and dinner feasts, as well as safari-style meals back at this luxury South African safari lodge.
