Overview
Contemporary chic safari
Ngoma Safari Lodge sits on the edge of the escarpment, overlooking the Chobe River and the Caprivi floodplains, liberally dotted in the drier months with thirsty zebra, elephant, buffalo and more.
The lodge boasts panoramic views from every angle, the patio and outdoor shower of each split-level chalet to the huge, glazed windows from the communal areas. Ngoma offers eight river-facing suites, incorporating rustic and ethnic accents, as well as natural materials and finishes. Each suite features spacious living areas, a deep bathtub, indoor and outdoor showers, and an open lounge area with a private plunge.
The communal guest areas set beneath the spreading boughs of an ancient baobab, feature a comfortable sitting room and elegant bar, perfect to indulge in evening cocktails. Meals are served in the thatched dining room or on the open decks. A sparkling swimming pool with an adjacent sun deck offers refreshment. A viewing platform provides game viewing opportunities without leaving the comfort of the lodge.

Community & Culture
Ngoma was built in 2011 as a joint community and privately funded venture in collaboration with the Chobe Enclave Conservation Trust (CECT). Through its socially responsible programmes, the lodge enriches the lives of those living within this community. From day one CECT has benefitted directly from a land lease fee and bed levy, as well as employment.
Footprint
To keep Ngoma Safari Lodge’s eco-footprint light, they use energy-efficient fridges in their kitchens, which are turned off at night. They also use coal cold rooms and cellars to store heat-sensitive items.
