A welcoming camp east of Etosha
Mushara Outpost is a warmly welcoming family-run camp situated just 10km from Etosha National Park’s eastern Von Lindequist Gate.
Eight simple, spacious canvas tents sat on timber decks on the eddge of a dry riverbed known as ”omuramba” in the Herero language. The main house, styled like an old homestead, has a large wrap-around veranda facing northeast to take advantage of shade, dining area and a swimming pool to cool off in after a day exploring the park.

Guided game drives into Etosha
Take a full or half-day guided tour into Etosha National Park. These trips can include visits to the saltpans and the perennial springs which provide the water that sustains the big game and elephant populations in the park.
Footprint
Mushara's camps and lodges have solar panels that can produce a maximum of 70% of our electricity needs with the difference comes from the power grid, with energy-saving measures implemented wherever possible.
Water is used wisely. All wastewater is treated naturally in special drains where it is cleaned enough to be pumped out into the veld where it is absorbed by the soil and can filter into the ground.
Vegetables, fruits and herbs that are not grown on-site are sourced from local farmers. All services are from local suppliers – refrigeration, electrical, mechanical. When possible, we employ staff from the surrounding communities.
