A remote Himalayan escape
With the spectacular Nilgiri mountain range as a dramatic backdrop, the remote Moksha Mustang is perfectly positioned for anyone exploring the breathtaking scenery and Buddhist culture of lower Mustang.
The boutique mountain retreat is a luxurious hideaway inspired by the traditional homes of the Thakali people. It is constructed of wood and stone and decorated with numerous artifacts which celebrate the rich heritage of the region.
Comfort meets minimalist style in the 29 cosy rooms. Earthy hues accentuate their rustic feel, and floor-to-ceiling windows allow for outstanding mountain views.
Sip on a signature apple brandy, refreshing cocktails and other pre-dinner drinks at the bar, before enjoying a meal in restaurant where the menu offers sumptuous Nepali dishes as well as international fare.
Moksha Mustang also has a hot spring pool and spa where you can treat yourself to traditional Tibetan massages and aromatherapy treatments.

Community & Culture
Acting on their commitment to helping the local community, Moksha Mustang helps to provide jobs for young people in Mustang, and puts them through technical school where they learn about sustainable business operation. This arrangement also includes stipends to help support the students’ families. Another way Moksha helps the community is by hosting regular medical and dental checkup camps.
Conservation
Part of their goal is for others to follow their example when it comes to sustainable tourism in the region. One of the ways they are trying tolead the way is through their “farm to table” ethos which helps them to reduce costs, creates a more authentic experience for guests and also lowers their carbon footprint.
Footprint
All of the produce used at Moksha is sourced from local farms which cuts out the need for carbon footprint-heavy importing. They have also planted 3,000 apple trees on their farm and grown organic vegetables in their greenhouses to sustain the entire resort.
