Classic Safari
Here, you will experience the best of both worlds: the intense action of the Maasai Mara, as well as the more private 28,000 hectares Mara North Conservancy. Mara Expedition Camp gives a glimpse of the golden days of safari.
The chic camp has five light and airy, spacious canvas tents, each with en-suite bathrooms. Under the grove of Africa acacia trees, its humble main area is lit by lantern and candlelit, simple yet very comfortable. This camp’s natural atmosphere and ‘back to the classics’ safari design will be a sure hit with all safari enthusiasts.
The camp is famous for its leopard residents wandering nearby and is perfectly positioned to witness the famous annual Serengeti migration. Staying here will be a truly unique adventure in the magical Mara.

Footprint
In essence, Mara Expedition Camp can be completely removed if need be, minimising the impact on the environment and wildlife. All materials used in its construction are “green” and/or recycled from elsewhere and, in keeping with the philosophy of touching the earth lightly, all of the energy is solar, with solid waste being separated and sent to Nairobi for recycling. Paper and combustibles are used in the lighting of fires for the wood heaters when needed.
