In the small northern Patagonian town of Villa La Angostura, between mountains, forests and the beautiful Nahuel Huapi Lake, Las Balsas is a charming boutique retreat with celebrated dining and a well-stocked wine cellar to match the views.
There are ten individually designed rooms, including six suites, that bring modern comfort to the rustic yet bright interiors, as well as a spa, swimming pool and private pier.

Community & Culture
Grateful for its position surrounded by nature in a remote area, sustainability is integral to Las Balsas’ future and the property has created a 25-year plan to achieve this through implementing projects aimed at developing the internal circular economy, caring for the environment and contributing to social development.
75% of the hotel’s suppliers are from Villa La Angostura and they work with local artisans and artists (painters, musicians, narrators and actors) throughout the year. The hotel is also attentive to the public infrastructure needs of the local town, donating equipment such as computers and heaters to the town's schools and hospital while supporting the town’s volunteer firefighters financially.
Footprint
Las Balsas has a long term plan to reduce its footprint and is working towards carbon neutrality. At least 90% of wastewater is treated in a state of the art plant, being recycled for use on the organic gardens and orchard along with compost made from kitchen waste.
