Set in a pristine location in the bush, just a few kilometres away from the main gate of South Luangwa, KuKaya has been designed to evoke a sense of freedom, where you can custom make your perfect safari depending on what you’re most interested in. From flexible dining options to private game drives or walking safaris, your days can be as action-packed or relaxed as you prefer.

There are six spacious tented and thatched chalets, each with an outdoor en-suite bathroom, a comfortable living and dining area, deck, plunge pool and firepit. The design lends itself to ‘al-fresco’ living, with the park and its abundant wildlife right on your doorstep.

When not exploring the park with your guide in your private vehicle or on foot, several hides are dotted around the landscape where you can set yourself up for the day, camera at the ready to capture the wildlife stopping by for a drink and a splash. You can choose to prepare your own meals, with the assistance of your dedicated host in your chalet; or visit The Deli which stocks a selection of pre-prepared and freshly cooked meals. Alternatively, you can choose from a range of three-course, in-chalet dining experiences, expertly prepared by the on-site chef.
