Overview
Historic charm
In the village of Øye, in the dramatic Norangsfjord, you will find one of Norway’s most characterful and storied hotels.
A favourite venue of royalties, writers and romantics since 1891, the Hotel Union Øye’s 30 rooms are named after notable guests – Kaiser Wilhelm, Queen Maud, Karen Blixen, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and more, all individually furnished with carefully selected antiques.
It’s a great base for scaling the local peaks, exploring fjords and experiencing local culture, returning for fabulous three course dinners celebrating the best local produce.
