  • Family observing marine life in Galapagos showcasing an idea for enriching multigenerational travel.

    Snorkelling

For many travellers, snorkelling in the Galapagos Marine Reserve is the highlight of their expedition. Observe the underwater world swimming alongside sea turtles, curious sea lions, endemic marine iguanas, reef sharks, penguins and a colourful array of fish.

    Zodiac excursions

Board an inflatable dinghy, or panga as they are known in the Galapagos, to access the islands from our expedition yachts. We use these small, low-impact vessels to reach shore, explore mangrove estuaries, and caves.

  • Ecoventure Santa Cruz Galapagos

    Guided nature walks

Every day, Ecoventura’s guides lead two multi-hour nature walks around the island we’ve called upon. You may explore lava fields, hike alongside cliffs, stroll along a secluded beach, or experience close encounters with Galapagos wildlife.

Conservation

In 2017, Ecoventura together with the Charles Darwin Foundation and Galápagos National Park Service established the Galápagos Biodiversity & Education for Sustainability Fund to benefit the Charles Darwin Foundation and programs to support research and conservation projects related to biodiversity conservation, such as research and monitoring trips, community outreach, scientific equipment, GNPD boat maintenance and equipment, as well as to support projects related to education for sustainability, including scholarships for local Galapagueños to study at a local or national university.

Footprint

In 2000, Ecoventura the first recipient of the SmartVoyager ecological certification. This voluntary program sets strict conservation standards, and they have continued to comply with — and exceed — the parameters by installing a system to produce our own fresh water onboard and implementing a waste management and recycling program.
