Casa de Uco

Overview

An eco conscious wine resort

Situated on 320 hectares in the heart of the Uco Valley, Casa de Uco blends celebrated viticulture and Andes views with a state-of-the-art, eco-friendly and architecturally ambitious hotel.

Seven contemporary rooms and nine larger suites are found in Casa de Uco, all with private balconies or terraces and fabulous views over the vineyards. For something more private, there are two one-bedroom villas with rooftop terraces, as well as the serene two-bedroom villa on the shore of a lagoon.

The wine bar, award-winning restaurant, game room, and inviting fire-warmed living room are the heart of the resort, surrounded by panoramic views and sitting atop a well-stocked wine cellar. The team here are also a real highlight, passionate about the whole project and really adding to the experience.

Footprint

Casa de Uco is committed to the environment with a mission to provide enriching travel experiences in a way that is respectful to the environment, sustainable and culturally rich.

A solar system is used to heat water and reduce reliance on gas. The winery is committed to reducing and offsetting our CO2 emissions and are donating 10 square meters of native forest in the Misiones jungle for each reservation that is made to help offset emissions.

Water is also a precious resource in the arid environment so the vineyards have a drip irrigation system that achieve 90% irrigation efficiency. The hotel and winery’s wastewater treatment facility irrigates an area of 200 poplars. There is also a concerted effort to reduce, reuse and recycle with a number of schemes to minimize any waste.

Casa de Uco has an organic and seasonal menu, and uses local ingredients from their own organic garden and local farmers in the Uco Valley.
