Overview
A Tranquil Setting
Sat on the tranquil banks of the Sand River, Tengile River Lodge has beautiful sweeping views and benefits from the prime game viewing of the Sabi Sands Game Reserve.
The lodge features nine secluded suites, dotted in shade along the riverbank. Each has a master bedroom, bathroom, and living area. Outside the private pool and spacious private deck looks out onto the famed Sand River.
If you can peel yourself away from the comfort of your suites, the African bush is out there waiting to be explored. There are a variety of exciting activities such as game drives and evening safaris, interpretive bush and nature walks, photography lessons, birdwatching and star gazing.

Conservation
By staying here at Tengile, you are indirectly contributing to various conservation initiatives across the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, from anti-poaching missions and general wildlife management, to specific projects, such as The Southern Ground Hornbill Monitoring and Support Programme, and The Leopard Conservation Project, which focuses on the active research, monitoring and identifying of leopards by the lodges guides, in partnership with Panthera.

Along with Africa Foundation, Tengile works closely with the neighbouring communities of Lilydale, Huntington, and Justicia, employing locally and investing in community education, healthcare and small business development.
