Lower Zambezi National Park

Amanzi Luxury Tented Camp

Overview

Intimate luxury on the Zambezi

Nestled beneath an ancient grove of Jackelberry and Apple Leaf Trees, high on the banks of the impressive Zambezi River, Amanzi Luxury Tented Camp offers some of Africa’s most incredible wildlife experiences and epic big game viewing.

This intimate, exclusive-use, luxury safari camp has just four classically styled tented luxury suites. Relax on the deck of your suite and enjoy the magnificent river views or take a short stroll along raised wooden walkways to the lounge and dining room which in turn flow through to the pool and teak sundeck, which offers sweeping vistas across the ceaselessly flowing Zambezi from our elevated riverbank position.

The safari day begins with coffee around the campfire, with the day punctuated by a bountiful continental breakfast, a buffet lunch and a traditional safari high tea, before a plated dinner paired with the finest South African wines. The menu at Amanzi is a unique fusion of European and African influences created by the head chef.

Conservation

Conservation Lower Zambezi (CLZ) is a Zambian non-profit initiative established in a bid to assist conservation efforts both within the Lower Zambezi National Park and its surrounding areas. Amanzi camps are dedicated supporters of this enterprise, contributing financially and operationally to the deployment of anti-poaching teams on the east side of the park, preserving the Zambezi’s natural ambience for future generations.

Footprint

Amanzi have taken active responsibility for their greenhouse gas emissions, becoming the second safari camp in Zambia to go carbon neutral. Working with BioCarbon Partners, they have purchased Carbon Credits from the Lower Zambezi REDD+ project, strengthening their role in the protection of natural habitats in the northern region of the Lower Zambezi National Park.
